Jeff Lawson is co-founder and CEO of Twilio, one of the world’s fastest growing technology companies. Millions of software developers and hundreds of thousands of companies use Twilio’s platform to add communications to the websites and apps you use daily.
A longtime software developer himself, Jeff founded Twilio in 2008, and now leads the public company. In his 12 years as Twilio’s CEO, Jeff led Twilio's 2016 IPO, which broke a half year drought in the public market and opened the floodgates for technology company IPOs again, won the 2017 TechCrunch award for Founder of the Year, and graced the cover of Forbes magazine.
Jeff launched his first company, the online academic content site Versity.com, from his dorm room as a twenty-year-old college student. After Versity, Jeff was the founding CTO of StubHub, the leading online ticketing exchange, and was one of the first product managers at Amazon Web Services, the world’s leading cloud computing platform.
A movie buff, Jeff earned a dual degree in Computer Science & Film/Video from University of Michigan. He lives in San Francisco with his wife and children.
In 2013, Irma L. Olguin Jr. decided to build a company focused on strengthening the tech industry in Fresno, Calif. and leveraging it as the economic driver to remake the city. In 2019, the company secured one of the largest series A rounds of funding ever for a female Latinx led company. Bitwise Industries now operates with the goal of activating human potential for the technology industry in underdog cities across the U.S. As CEO and co-founder, Irma oversees the company’s operations teams, as well as the technology-focused training program of Geekwise Academy, and software development firm, Shift3 Technologies. A main component of her role is ensuring the company’s fidelity to mission, strategy, and long-term goals.
Previously, Irma created 59DaysOfCode, a software development competition to highlight and encourage the Central Valley’s tech industry. She co-founded Hashtag, an open workspace for designers, developers, and entrepreneurs to collaborate. And, she co-founded Edit LLC to solve efficiency and data issues in the agricultural industry.
